Harrison Infrastructure Group Expertise
Project, Program, Contract and Asset Management
We specialise in delivering major infrastructure projects for government and private sector clients on highways, urban development and building infrastructure.
Our management service capability encompasses all stages of a project from concept planning, design, procurement, and construction to maintenance.
Our program and project managers are experienced in managing a portfolio of interconnecting projects and looking at the ‘bigger picture’ for our clients and their business requirements, including managing contingency.
Contract Administration
HIG are experienced in developing contract documentation for schedule of rates, design and construct and guaranteed maximum sum contracts.
Our expertise includes contract administration of these contract forms and the establishment of major alliance contracts.
Our company and staff hold a range of DTMR contract administration prequalifications, from Administrator’s, Admin Rep’s, Site Engineers and Inspectors, and have administered an enormous number of DTMR and local government small, medium and large infrastructure projects, over 30 years.
Land Acquisition
Defining and managing land acquisition for infrastructure projects is a complex and difficult activity. The acquisition of land from private landholders and business owners, if not managed sensitively, can cause significant delays to a project.
We are proud to have successfully managed the acquisition of land on several significant infrastructure projects. Our success is based upon our knowledge of relevant government legislation, including the Acquisition of Land Act 1967 and the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.
Our staff have also successfully negotiated internal government agency land transactions and government to government land transactions. This has required high level negotiation skills as current government legislation provides limited leverage.
The knowledge of this legislation accompanied with our ability to empathise with effected property owners makes us the right choice to undertake your land acquisition requirements.
Asset Management &
Network Performance
We can assist clients with the legislative minefield and often complex relationships between their responsibilities for quality assurance, asset management and governance.
We can deliver best practice strategies to ensure assets are considered for the Whole-of-Life, recognising the need to implement safety-in-design considerations of sustainability, maintenance and re-use, and BIM (Building Information Modelling) requirements for road, bridge, ITS and electrical assets.
HIG can assist clients in determining their minimum requirements through to providing expert advice and carrying out audits of well-established organisations. Our services provide innovative customer focused solutions making it possible for clients to effectively manage their infrastructure to achieve best value.
Procurement Strategy Advice
If the right procurement strategy is not selected for your project then you may not get the result you require. We understand this and that one procurement strategy will not suit all projects. The strategy needs to be determined based on how best to achieve the project objectives, effective management of risk, maximisation of any opportunities and consideration of all key issues surrounding the project.
We work closely with our clients in a workshop environment to determine the suitable strategies to deliver their project with maximised effectivieness. Our team has had a wide range of experience on schedule of rates contracts, design and construct, alliance and guaranteed maximum sum contract.
Risk Management
Based on AS4360, we adopt a straight forward approach to risk management. We have the expertise to deliver risk management strategies – from broad strategic risks to detailed project risks.
We work with the client and their project team to establish the context of risks, identify potential risks, analyse the agreed risks, evaluate and rank the risks, develop risk mitigation strategies and manage the ongoing monitoring of the risks.
To ensure the risk management strategies are effective, we regularly review the outcomes of the mitigation strategies and determine whether any new risks are likely to appear. This is completed in an environment of effective communication and consultation with those who are best equipped to provide input into the risk management process.
