This year our Excellence Award goes to Amy Gallagher. It goes without says that we have depended on Amy this year with her dedication and expertise on tendering tasks. She's the unsung hero for our success as a company through award of contracts. She has taken this in her stride and still tackles the next project with hunger and improvement in mind. This year we've been able to put out over 250 tenders and winning the majority of them. Tendering and our success rate wouldn't be there without Amy. Congratulations Amy on not only your work this year but for the past decade.
This year we also have three merit awards. They went to Grace Parker, Scott Walker and Steve Davis.
Grace for her outstanding commitment to high quality delivery of plan work on very tight time frames, lots of pressure and is an integral part of our drafting team. This is shown by the fact that she is always requested by all designers to be a part of their team.
Scott continues to be an integral part of TMR resurfacing team in Toowoomba. Now into his second year of secondment. With the department he manages his prior works: reseal, micro servicing, and asphalt contracts for the department. He's built on his network of local contacts with councils and contractors community, which he leverages off to get great outcomes for TMR. Scott continues to broaden his knowledge base, building on his experience in seal design and he brings energy and humour to the team.
Steve is one of our quiet achievers over the past few years. He's been instrumental in the successful delivery of several major projects including 8 Mile Interchange for SMEC, Gore Highway/New England Highway options analysis and business case, options analysis for Bruce Highway, Shute Harbour road intersection upgrade, and he's also heavily involved with mentoring the junior staff, checking numerous projects, road safety audits and tendering.
Project of the year goes to Mackay Bruce Highway Upgrades. This project began with 6 resources then grew to 25 resources across our offices to delivery multiple concurrent packages. The HIG flag has been held high and proud with high praise given to the team from multiple levels of management throughout the delivery phase.
Congratulations to everyone on another outstanding year!
